Research

At UF's Brain Rehabilitation Research Center, since my sophomore year, I've been working as an undergraduate research assistant. I have helped with visual analyses of over 40 patient structural MRI brain images utilizing advanced software like FreeSurfer. During this task I searched for patterns and errors,  showcasing my skill of being detail-oriented. In addition to image analysis, I've also been involved in the process of a systematic review project,  in which I sifted through a vast array of sources, screening over 800 abstracts and 500 peer-reviewed articles.
A highlight of my journey was the opportunity to showcase our team's findings at the prestigious 2023 Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium. Crafting and presenting a research poster was a culmination of my work and my learning in the field of brain rehabilitation.

In 2020, I contributed to a published paper on zebrafish toxicity assessment at the UF Center for Human and Environmental Toxicology lab  – my first experience in scientific research!
